Pinzellada means “Brush Stroke” in Catalan, and this Vegan friendly wine paints a unique picture. A smooth blend of Carigñan and Grenache, this rewarding wine is drinking well with bags of fruit, just the right amount of oak and some interesting complexity.

Description

Varieties
Carignan (74%), Grenache (26%)

Terroir
The Carignan is from 40 year old vines at Mas de Cabrera in Gandesa and at La Carabassa in Corbera. The Grenache (Garnatxa Negre) is from 30 year old vines at Mas de Cabrera.

Production
Both grape varieties were hand picked separately before undergo- ing a 5 day cold soak. Individual fermentations followed at up to 26°C in stainless steel, with regular punchdowns. Malolactic fermentation and 12 months maturation was carried out in a mixture of old and new 300 litre French oak barrels. This wine is bottled unfiltered.
