Description
Varieties
Macabeu (50%), White Grenache (50%)
Terroir
Both grapes are from old vines at Mas de Cabrera in Gandesa. They come from several plots across the vineyard to bring a mixture of ripeness and terroir.
Production
Both grape varieties were hand picked, with the Macabeu (also known as Viura) about a week before the White Grenache (Garnatxa Blanca). The grapes were chilled before being de-stemmed, crushed, and lightly pressed. Individual fermentations followed at 18°C in stainless steel using two different commercial yeasts. The wines were blended and left to develop on their lees for 6 months. The resulting wine was lightly fined and filtered before bottling.
