Garnatxa Blanca (White Grenache) (100%)
The grapes come from 15 year old vines planted in Vall Major near
Batea. The grapes were hand harvested on the 6th of September
which was later than surrounding blocks, but the acidity was
holding up well so we waited for more ripeness.
The bunches were hand sorted, destemmed and after berry selection
the grapes were pressed, with free run and press fraction
combined. After racking, the must was fermented in stainless steel
at 18C. After fermentation, the wine was transferred to an oak
foudre for maturation on its fine lees. During maturation the wine
was stirred regularly to encourage yeast autolysis. The resulting
wine was lightly filtered before bottling.
A total of 2,020 bottles were made.

some nice creaminess and a good weight of fruit, which combined
with the good acid levels easily carries the slightly elevated alcohol

chicken with pepper and mustard, fideua, mushroom risotto and
The wine is ideally served at 10-12°C.
